I am longing to film people walking the site. I am as interested in them as a visual subject walking through the site as in what we talk about and what they tell me about the Park. Why do I find it difficult just to explain what I want to do and ask people to be involved? There is this suspicion that I can't just 'use' people as subjects. I reckon I could learn something by talking to a documentary film maker.
Maybe the exchange is that I open up my process to a group of people, show them what I am making, lead some exercises that might open up their own line of enquiry - using some exercises from 'How to be an Explorer of the World' applied to the Park - and that will be a fair exchange????
