If this route was a completed piece, what would the closure be? What would people find in the den? A hidden sound piece, a person?
a cris-crossing choreography of the Park that sometimes watches someone approaching and leaving and sometimes follows them or moves backwards as they walk towards
Suggestions for how to go about the tech development including talking to Sussex Uni Performance Media people
I am longing to film people walking the site. I am as interested in them as a visual subject walking through the site as in what we talk about and what they tell me about the Park. Why do I find it difficult just to explain what I want to do and ask people to be involved? There is this suspicion that I can't just 'use' people as subjects. I reckon I could learn something by talking to a documentary film maker. Maybe the exchange is that I open up my process to a group of people, show them what I am making, lead some exercises that might open up their own line of enquiry - using some exercises from 'How to be an Explorer of the World' applied to the Park - and that will be a fair exchange???? |
