Flickers: Under the Water

A night-walk from the depths of a neglected underground car park to the sea-edge and on, the journey dares you to surrender to the dark, juxtaposing this marginal space against the utopia of being ‘beside the seaside, beside the sea’.

Devised by Rachel Henson, created by Rachel Henson and Neil Manuell, sound by Jason Pegg and Thor McIntyre-Burnnie, filmed performance by Miriam King.

Commissioned by Brighton and Hove City Council for White Night 2011.
